  • Hi everyone!

I have a prayer request.  My best friend's daughter (Kaley) had to have sugery yesterday.  Her appendix ruptured.  She is eight years old and the sweetest little girl you will ever meet.  Her surgery went well, but the doctor says that she is still very sick.  She had a lot of infection and is on IV antibiotics.  She will have to stay in the hospital for up to fourteen days.  Please pray for her speedy recovery and for her parents.  It is very hard to see your child sick and not be able to fix it.

    Thanks,

    Wanda

  •       Hello everyone.  I'm getting ready to take Rachel Cartwright to STC at WOL Florida.  We leave for the airport in about 4hours.  Rachel is one of the girls from our youth group.  This week has been a very busy  week.  We have VBS at our church.  The theme was Set Sail Spread the Good News.  It was about Paul.  I didn't teach this year but DeWyatt did.  I was in charge of decorations and taking pictures.  I had a surprise call this afternoon.  It was Rachel McCray calling to say she was driving by our way on the way back home.  I was very excited to hear from her.  So excited that I left during the middle of VBS to meet her in Cartersville.  She looks great and is very excited about her up coming wedding to Mark in August.  I also got to meet her Dad and brother.  Well I guess I had better go I still have to dry my hair before I go to bed.  5:00 am is only few hours away and I need some sleep before we head to Atlanta to catch our flight.

  • Hello everyone!  Tomorrow is the last day of school.  That means the summer has started.  Next Friday I get to fly Rachel(one of my teens from our youth group) to WOL Florida.  She is going to STC this summer and someone had to get her there.  So twist my arm and I'll take her. ( If you know me, you know I look for any excuse to make the trip to WOL.)  This is going to be a very short trip for me.  We fly in on June 2nd at 9:40am and then I fly out on Sat. June 3rd at 9:30am.  I have to be at DeWyatt's Grandmother's family reunion on Sunday in Alabama.  It's okay though, I will be returning on June 17th thru 24th.  Then I'll be back on July 15th thru July 29th.  Two whole weeks straight.  We will also be squeezing in a family vacation to Destin during the Fouth of July.  Never let it be said that my summers are boring.  The only thing that would make the summer better is if some of my girls were going to be there.(hint, hint)  Well I guess I better go for now.  I need to rest up for that last bus route of the school year.  The little darlins will be bouncing off the bus walls tomorrow.

Hello everyone!  I'm getting ready to go to Gatlingburg for the weekend and thought I would post a quick update while I wait on DeWyatt to get ready to leave.  I've been pretty busy lately.  This will be my second trip to Gatlinburg in two weeks.  Last weekend Darla had a clogging competition in Gatlinburg and this weekend DeWyatt and I are going with Jonathan and Angie Bennett.  We sent all the kids to their grandparents for the weekend.

I have a couple of prayer request .  First one-  Kyle has a parasite that he apparently has had since he was about 18 months old.  Please pray that we finally get rid of it this time and he will start growing.  Second one-  Please pray for our friends Mike and Christee Franklin.  Mike resigned his position as pastor at New Hope Baptist.  Please pray that Mike and Christee will find a church home that God has for that God has for them.  Please also pray that New Hope finds the pastor that God wants them to have and that their church starts growing.

I don't know what is happening with the font on this update.  It keeps changing while I'm typing.  I'm going to try to put some pictures on, maybe it will work.

  • Finally updated.

Okay, okay!  I get it. I need to update. Well since I last updated I have been very busy.  At the end of january i took megan livingston and corey comisky to campus days at the bi in florida.  we missed our first flight out of atlanta and had to fly standby.  we got right on the next flight and we were off to the bi.  when we got to the tampa airport , we headed to the car rental place.  they told me for 10.00 more dollars i could upgrade to the next level.  the lady showed me a picture of the next level and it was a mustang.  i got very excited about that.  then she told me she didn't have any mustangs.  we ended up in a hhr, which is chevy's version of a pt cruiser.  i was really surprised at how well it handled.  after we got the car we headed straight for the bi.  i got to see all my girls and guys who are at the bi this year.  i was hoping to see murna and bethany too, but they couldn't make it.  maybe i'll get to see them this summer at camp.  we had a wonderful weekend catching up with everyone.  megan's mom and dad( earlene & david) were afraid that megan and i would not come back home.  as tempting as it was to stay, we came home.(we didn't miss our flight this time)  since then i have been busy with church activities.  on Feb. 18th we took the olympians to superskate.  we had a great time skating and bowling with the kids.  brent finchum brought the message and did a wonderful job.  there were nine kids who accepted christ and ten more who redicated their lives for christ.  today we had area teens involved for north georgia.  i was the room host for drama and dewyatt was the room host in vocal groups and mucis.  our daughter kelley entered jr high vocal solo.  she sang gratitude.  even if i am a little bias , she did a great job.  she will compete at regional ti on april 1st.  two other girls from my youth group competed also.  rachel cartwright wrote a poem and also sang a duet with beth cargel.  they also move on to regionals on april 1st.  please pray for all these girls to continue to use their talents for the lord and for them to do well in the next level of competition.  well i guess i have made up for not posting in a while.  i will try not to be so long between posts next time.   hope everyone is doing great!

    love,

    wanda
